April 14, 2010

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Each year the fourth, fifth and sixth grade attend an environmental education camp at Camp Wilbur Herrlich in Patterson, New York. Because the classes are small and because of scheduling we worked it out so that third, seventh and eighth graders would be allowed to go along as well.

This year the trip is scheduled for Wednesday, May 26th through Friday, May 28th.

The children are supervised at all times, either by a camp counselor, a parent or by a teacher. Two Q.L.S. staff members will be going as well as a parent.

In order to provide you with maximum information about this yearss trip, including activities, cost, safety, etc., Mr. Busch and I will be happy to meet with you should you have any questions. Please call or stop by anytime.

Your child will be away at Camp Wilbur Herrlich on May 26-28, 2010.

The chartered bus will leave Queens Lutheran School on Wednesday, May 26th at 8:30 a.m and return on Friday, May 28th around 3:00 p.m.

While there, they will be served breakfast, lunch and dinner. A full schedule of activities is planned during the day and evening. This is a learning experience and not a play camp. The children will definitely enjoy themselves. They will be learning and doing many interesting things.

The fee is $190.00 and its due by Friday, May 14, 2010. You may pay it in installments. Two  - $95.00 Three - $63.33 for the next three weeks or get it out of the way and pay the full amount.

Every student that has gone to Camp Herrlich has enjoyed the experience tremendously and has talked about it for days. I do hope your son/daughter will get a chance to go and share the experience that so many of our students have in the past.

I thank you and ask that you please respond as quickly as possible.

Sincerely,
Bettye J. Lee
