I'm quick with the send button, so if you received an e-mail asking you to send in your child's re-registration papers, please ignore.

Sorry for making my second error of the year.

Enjoy your week-end.

Missing Forms

Good Afternoon Parent or Guardian:

I'm reminding you to please send in your child's re-registration papers by Tuesday, June 2, 2009.  If you have already turned them in, I thank you.

I also need the Transportation form for the two Simmons children and Chris K.  If you don't have a form please call me.

I want to be able to start entering all my data for the next school year and I can't do it unless I have everyone's forms.  Please, please send them in.

Thank you.

Regards,

annmarie

Mets baseball this Saturday

We received an e-mail from LSA (Lutheran Schools Association) asking administrators/teachers/parents to take pictures of our school group as well as LSA's large group attending this Saturday's game.  544 tickets were sold.  Please remember to look for mention of LUTHERAN SCHOOLS ASSOCIATION on the big screen (could use a picture of that too.)

Photos may be sent to
dcook@lutheranschoolsassociation.org

LSA will have a newsletter going out in une and it would be great to include a photo or two!  Many thanks!

GO METS!!!

REMINDERS

Dear Parent or Guardian:

The children are excited about their upcoming environmental camping trip.  They are looking forward to this trip and can't stop talking about it.  You may also enjoy a little quiet time while your son/daughter is away at camp.  It will give you a little time to go out to dinner or a movie without the worry about getting a sitter.

Ms. Costanzo, Mr. Busch, are going as well as our former counselor, Dr. Ralph Peters and a couple of our parents are going.  As always, the children will be chaperoned at all times.  They sleep in cabins, not tents and an adult will sleep in the same cabin with them.  Male adult with the boys of course and female with the girls.

Thank you for allowing them to go and be prepared to hear for days everything they did while at camp.

If you would like your son or daughter to go on this camping trip, you're still in time to send in the required forms along with the fee.

Regards,

Bettye J. Lee, Principal

Scholastic Book Fair and other news...

Hello Parent or Guardian:

  • Thought I'd let you know that the Scholastic Book Fair  is being extended through Wednesday, May 13, from 7:45 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.  Why not stop by the school, come to the Lower Level and to the Blue Room where the fair is ongoing.  Feel free to browse, touch, but most of all buy.  You may consider buying birthday gifts, Mother's Day gifts, graduation gifts, birthday gifts and even early Christmas shopping.

  • The students are excited and very much looking forward to the camping trip May 20th, 21st and 22nd.  This is a yearly trip with a full schedule of activities during the day and evening.  This fun and educational trip is chaperoned at all timesOne of our female teacher will sleep in the girls cabin and our male teacher in the boys cabin.  Our former Guidance Conselor, Dr. Ralph Peters, now a professor at Berkley College teaching in their Liberal Arts Department  (Psychology and Religion, two fields Dr. Peters has his PH.D.) in Manhattan and White Plains location will also be a chaperone as well as one of our parents.  They'll take a comfy coach bus and have fun from the time they board until the time they return.  They'll talk about their trip until you tell him/her enough.  We do hope your child will be going and share the experience that many of our students have in the past.

  • Please attend our P.T.A. meeting on Wednesday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m.  We are also holding our Open House that night, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
